"Listen up, lads and ladies..." A rather robust-looking Tropius gijinka booms; "We got ourselves a bit of a problem."

The room falls quiet. The Tropius woman demanded respect and discipline. It was obvious from the look of every other Captain in the room, full to the brim with low-lives, reformed badasses, and troubled individuals that she was capable of getting that respect from pretty much anyone. She was their master, commander, and comrade.

"Word has it that control of a number of World Govt. cities might be changing hands soon." She punctuated by slamming a rolled-up map down on the table in the middle of the room. Everyone gathered around. Duke, Flynn and Tary found themselves at the front of the mob.
She continued; "We're not gonna let that happen."

The room suddenly livened up. A number of Captains began chatting amongst themselves, some shouted out obscenities, but the noise broke when one stepped up and asked the question that was really on their minds;
"Why not let Wenge take it? He can kick those spoinks out of there, and then we'll have one less city under their control to deal with. Let our enemies fight amongst themselves, right?"

The crowd seemed largely in support of this proposition, until their commander spoke up again;
"We've survived this long on that very strategy, son. But keep this in mind - Wenge has much more power. The only thing keeping the World Govt. going is resources and territory. Now, I know none of you are fond of those guys, and you know damn well I'm not a fan either...but every bit of ground the World Govt. loses to Wenge is ground we don't get back. Ever. We have to keep them fighting, work them like puppets, and keep our enemies trained on each other. We can only win this by perpetuating their struggle, got it?

The crowd seemed in agreement with this, though it was clear most of them weren't too happy about what was being proposed.

"Your missions, should you choose to accept them..." She unrolled the map, revealing a number of cities that had been circled and names pointing to them; "You'll be broken up into teams. Each team is going to take care of a different city, but your mission objectives will be exactly the same;
-Minimise World Govt. casulaties.
-Minimise Resistance presence.
-Prevent control of your city from changing hands."

Listed along the edge of the map were all the teams. One team, under the title of 'Hoenn 3', lists the names 'Duke', 'Flynn' and 'Tary'. The target city that has been circled is Mossdeep City, with a departure time scribbled next to it.

"Any questions?"

"commander" flynn took a step forward and gave commander Harper a quick salute, turned, and left the meeting hall at a brisk walk.

flynn was loyal to the rebellion, they pulled him out of hell and gave him a purpose, but the meetings tended to get long and tedious once the more pompous captains started arguing over semantics.

flynn walked out into the cold air of the forests of the Snowpoint region, as he walked out, he pulled his leather coat a bit closer to him and walked around the side of the building. a group of 10 gijinka were mulling around smoking and taking swigs from a bottle in a paper bag.

flynn walked over, grabbed the bottle and took a swig, the whiskey burned but warmed him up a bit.

"right lads, i have new orders, and you lot are back to the pits of hell again im afraid. i need you lot back in the arenas and gathering all the info you can on both the government and wenges army." flynn took another swig of whiskey "and if any of you die, i'll kill ya" flynn laughed with his operatives and handed the bottle on.

"well i have my marching orders, good luck all of you" with that flynn handed them an encoded message with his new dead-drop location. he left to wait at the front doors of the meeting hall, waiting for the others to leave.

with flynn gone, the 10 gijinka said their farewells, memorized the co-ordinates before throwing them in the fire, and then disappeared into the darkness.

Captain Tary studied the map before knuckling her brow, "Mum" was all she said in a salute. She admired the woman, but didn't trust her completely. She didn't owe her life or a true allegiance to the Commander, she was only using this army to obtain her true goal. Before turning away she gave Duke a small nod, the she made her way through the crowd, shoving some out of her way, as she made for the exit.

Exiting the "HQ", she held her head high and her back was rigid from the cold, while she briskly walked past some of the lower ranking officers, she paid them no mind. Though they were all a working army, she didn't like the others, she only trusted her "minions" and her two companions, Duke and Flynn.

Finally reaching the tent designated for her and her minions, she stood outside, facing it, her hair whipped in the subtle wing, her face was set in a kind of scowl that she wore when she wanted to get her point across. Narrowing her eyes, she pushed open the flap and went inside.

The tent was large enough to house her meager 10 minions and herself. Though it was a little cramped, they made due. most of the main structures were already claimed when they set up camp. Looking around the tent, she saw most of them split up into little cliques playing games and gambling to pass the time. A few were reminiscing over their old homes and families.

These people, the soliders, her minions owed her their lives, she had saved each of them from the same fate she suffered. Clenching her fists tightly she calls for their attention.

"Men, we have been given orders to move out! Pack your things, say your goodbyes, if you have any. In two hours, we move out!" She kept is simple and brief. Though she cared for her minions, she didn't want to get too close to them. it hurt too much when one is lost. She didn't want to go through that again.

Making her way to the back of the tent to gather her own things up, and make sure her supplies were stocked, she couldn't help but wipe a small tear from her eye, in remembrance. This was war, there was no need for her to be soft anymore.

Her things were packed and their tent was broken down. She wrangled up the last of her team, and headed towards Mossdeep. To their new Hell on Earth.

Duke took a moment to flick his cigarette ash into the ashtray on the centre table, before the crowd of eager Captains swarmed around to see the map. He didn't bother checking - It was up to the pilot of the transport plane to know where he was going.

Like his fellow Captains Flynn and Tary, Duke went to see his troops, his family. He stepped into a run-down two-level house. There were no windows or doors, and the snow had crept it's way inside. The interior was covered in grafitti, much of it displaying Duke's past gang symbol. It matched the exterior, at least.

In the living room was a large, re-purposed oil drum being used as a fireplace. Huddled around it were a Croagunk, Mawile and Joltik gijinka.
"Oi. The Boss is back." The Croagunk dude spoke loud enough for others in the house to hear, but was hardly shouting. It didn't take long - Within moments 6 others, 3 of which were human, came down the stairs, followed by an abnormally large wailmer gijinka. The entire group wore the emblem that marked their building.

"What's with the welcoming committee?" Duke seemed coldly unimpressed by their welcome, standing there with his hands in his pockets, the tip of his cigarette glowing brightly as he inhaled.
"You got a mission, don't ya?" The joltik gijinka asked excitedly.
"'Don't ya', what?" Duke glared back at him.
The joltik boy seemed unphased; "Don't ya, sir!" He added a mock salute for extra measure, and this caused the rest of the group to laugh at his antics.

There was a moment of silence as Duke, the only one not laughing, glared down at the boy...but then a smile broke out on his lips, quickly turning into a full grin; "And don't you forget it, runt!"
The gang broke out into laughter again, and Duke made his way over to the shredded up sofa on the other end of the room. He took a seat, flicked the ash off his cigarette onto the snow-covered floor, and continued;
"Yeah. Looks like I'm going to Mossdeep." His joke time was over, and now he actually was getting down to business; "Here's the deal - I'm going to want Annika and Cooper to come with me."

The Croagunk, and a human soldier both nod in reponse.

"The rest of you do whatever the f**k you want."

This was met with a resounding, and parodic 'aye-aye, Captain!' from the gang. At that, Duke turned around and left with Cooper and Annika following close behind. It was time to catch the flight out.

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

At this point, the team have now boarded the transport plane. You have equipped all the items listed in your inventory on your character profile, and you have with you only the troops you specified were coming along for the journey. The flight is a fairly long one.

flynn sat in his seat, clawed hands white knuckled and dug into his arm rest. flynn had never liked flying, but it was a necessarily evil in the resistance, normally the only way he would step on a plane was with a bottle of booze in his hand to 'steady his nerves' as he put it.

it was at this time that the transport plane hit a patch of turbulence, flynn gripped the chair harder as his pack fell from the seat next to him. As it hit the floor he heard a faint clink sound.

"odd, nothing in there should clink" he muttered, his curiosity temporarily out weighing his fear of plunging to his demise in a metal death trap. he grabbed the pack as quickly as he could and dug through it, he quickly found the source of the noise.

flynn pulled out a large bottle wrapped in brown paper, a small black bow was taped to the side, along with a hastily scrawled note saying 'if Arceus had wanted us all to fly, he would have bought the tickets, good luck Cap'n'

flynn smiled as he unwrapped the bottle "fire whiskey, cinnebar islands finest" he cracked the seal and downed 1/4 of the bottle in a single pull.
after a few minutes, flynn could feel his anxiety disappearing, with that he turned to his new companions and held the bottle out to Duke and Tary.

"want a swig mohawk man?" he chuckled "how about you blue? whiskey this good needs sharing"

Tary looked away from the clouds passing them by outside the window. She turned her attention to her comrade, her expression was that of her everyday one, her poker face, her minions called it. She looked from him to his offering, then back to his face. She could see that he was already sub-coming to the effects to the alcohol. She raised a hand and declined. She didn't like dulling her senses. It was the only thing that she actually appreciated her father teaching her. She learned after he was gone, how important the senses were.

Growing restless of sitting down doing nothing, she unbuckled herself, not caring for the turbulence, it actually helped her practice her balance, as she headed towards the back, where her minions where. She needed to release some pent up energy.

As she approached the back of the cargo bay, she found her men, sparring, no weapons, just hand to hand combat. A smirk crossed her face. Resting her hands upon her hips she watched them practice. Watching them, seeing where their weaknesses were and what their strengths lay, helped her in teaching her minions to fight properly. As she watched them it brought her back to when she used to spar with her father. How ruthless he was, but what he taught her, has saved her life and others, on more than one occasion.

Shaking her head from the memory she moved towards the men. Shedding her jacket and tossing it next to one of her minions, a Flareon Gijinka, she cracked her knuckles and neck. Rolling her shoulders she approached the makeshift ring. "Alright Lads, Who wants to take on the captain? Betting is encouraged." She strikes her stance and waits for the first challenger.

It was rare for Duke to show respect, or grace, but when Flynn offered him drink, he gave a respectful nod in thanks and took a swig. Before he could hand it back, Annika snatched the bottle from his hand and took a mouthful. Just like Tary, she had no intention of dulling her senses, but she also needed something to steady her nerves.
She handed the bottle back to Flynn, took her seat, and continued cleaning and fiddling with her gun - an absurdly large 50 cal sniper rifle. Clearly ex-Govt. property.

"Minimise World Govt. casulaties..." Duke started, almost like he was talking to himself, but was actually talking to Flynn; "Minimise our own presence. Prevent control from switching hands. Basically, we gotta be the puppetmasters of this show."

"in a nut shell, yeah" flynn responded as he took another swig before stowing the whiskey somewhere safe. "mossdeep had that space center on the island right?, and a pretty weak arena scene if i remember correctly"

flynn spaced out for a second, thinking about the last time he was in mossdeep "last time i was going through mossdeep was...in the fallout of the fortree incident"

"when we arrive, standard procedure dictates we find a base of operations, once we have somewhere to stay, i'll start recon on the arena. should we all recon the space center or do you guys want that one?"

Top Secret: The Resistance Chronicles 1 Empty Re: Top Secret: The Resistance Chronicles 1

Post by Kaler Sat Mar 16, 2013 4:04 am

Tary watched as one of her minions, a Ryhorn gijinka, stepped forward. "I'll take ye on, cap'in" he says in his deep rough voice and rubs his nose once in a flick like motion. He gets in his stance and shuffles from left to right, a boxers stance.

Tary smirked at him, "Alright then, bring is on Thomas. Give me your best shot." she challenged him. She watched his shuffling and judged his movements. She stood in her stance, crouching a bit, putting her weight onto her right leg, and stuck her left leg out. her left hand was out with her palm open and facing up. Her right arm was curved over her head with her hand in a fist. She awaited his first move.

Thomas, grinned at the captain's stance, "What a pathetic gesture" he mocked. Sprinting forward was his first mistake. He was so used to his brute strength and his size, that he did not anticipate what Tary was capable of.

Keeping her stance she watched the big lug charge towards her. He certainly fit his Gijinka, all muscle and no brain. As he got closer, she smirked again, this was very rare that she had smirked twice in a sitting. Focusing on her approaching target, she waited until he was in optimum position. Once Thomas was there, she avoided his charge and swung her elbow into the middle of his back.

Thomas faltered slightly from the blow, but it didn't really hurt, it was just irritating, "Is that all ya got, there lass?" turning himself around towards her. He stomps a foot down like a sumo wrestler before he charged at her again.

Tary crouched again, this time instead of side stepping, she leap up, extending a foot out, she thrusts a powerful kick to the side of Thomas's head. Though she knew he had a thick skull, she never imagined it would have been that thick. It was definitely a solid thud.

Thomas felt his head rattle as he saw the ground approaching him fast. He underestimated the captain, he had never really watched her fight, he was one of the newer minions that joined her group. He should have listened to his comrades when he had the chance. This was certainly a lesson he would not forget. Thomas hit the floor of the plane with a loud thud.

Getting up from her crouch, her fists were clenched and she faced her slack jawed minions, "Remember this, Never underestimate your opponent, it could be the worst mistake you could ever make. Someone, get Thomas up." she didn't even look back as it took three gijinka's to heave Thomas up from the ground. She walked over to the bookie to collect her winnings.

Thumbing through the winnings, she grabbed her jacket from the Flareon, she couldn't remember his real name, only his nickname that she gave him, Chrispy, a childish name, but he had the habit of burning nearly everything. He was just a young boy, a feisty one though. She walked back to the seats and plopped herself down next to Flynn, and propped her feet up on the seat across from her.

A voice came over the PA system from the cabin; "What the hell is going on back there? I can FEEL every bump you guys make. Keep it down!"

"I'm not interested in the stars, Flynn." Duke muttered, slouching back into his chair. Curse him for bringing up that Fortree thing again; "There's a cave just south of Mossdeep, but I say we get ourselves some downtown accommodation. Annika is going to need a decent vantage point to pop some heads if s**t hits the fan, so we do need the rooftop of that observatory. Just the rooftop."

Duke stood up now, feeling like it was time to start acting a bit like a team leader;
"I don't know what you got planned with your team Tary, but remember we need to minimise our presence, and that's going to be difficult with 10 gijinka. Me and Coops will secure a base, Tary will find out what the situation at the space center is, and Flynn will do the same with the arena. In all cases, our main priority is to discover any weaknesses in the Govt. military's defenses, and cover them. Stay quiet, keep your heads down, and never be seen. As gijinka, we'll stand out more than a shiny Milotic at a Stunfisk convention."

flynn took a deep breath to calm himself "what are those idiots doing back there? trying to kill us or something" once he had calmed down a bit he turned back to duke and his subordinate

"im with you on that, less is more in this situation, mossdeep isnt a huge island and we will stick out like a sore thumb. hence why my team stays in the pitts until we need the cavalry" flynn looked out his window "we'll also need some form of income, i can always go back to the arena for cash, but what do you lot plan on doing?"

Top Secret: The Resistance Chronicles 1 Empty Re: Top Secret: The Resistance Chronicles 1

Post by Kaler Sat Mar 16, 2013 8:43 am

tary looked from her winnings to her comrades, all she did was shrugged at them. "It calms the nerves for some of the men. That last blow was from yours truly. Knocked some sense into Thomas."

No matter how she tried to explain it to them, she felt they would never understand why she brought them all.

Pocketing her earnings, she looked dead ahead of her, staring at the seat across from her, and thought of her plan. She knew that she needed them all, but the most important ones for now where her scout/recon men. The only one she truly was worried about was the now comer, Thomas. She didn't know if he would follow her orders to a T, but she didn't dwell on it too much, the blow to the head that she gave him, should have knocked some sense into him.

Feeling the need to explain her game plan to her Minions, she got up from her seat and walked to the back of the plane. With a sharp whistle, the men stopped what they were doing and gathered around their captain, like a football huddle. "Alright men, here is the game plan for when we get into Mossdeep. I need Kreeper, Stitch, Steve, and Swift ready for when we descend. Its a scout mission, I need a lay out of the land, Steve the outlaying water ways, I want to know where the enemy is weakest and above all, we must stick to the shadows, remain unseen, and for god sake we cannot allow Mossdeep to change hands. The rest of you, you are on standby, you are to remain at base camp until I tell you other wise. If any of you disobey my direct orders, I will have your ass." she briefed them. She stressed that last part of them. She was dead serious, if they messed up this mission, there would be hell to pay. The last thing she needed was to have this mission be screwed and the Gov't knowing they were there.

Looking at her minions, she saw that her last message had sunk in with them, the younger ones and the newcomers seemed to have taken it to heart. With a curt nod she dismisses them and returned to her seat. This time she sat across from Flynn, just to piss him off, she propped her feet upon his legs.

Duke shook his head, and gazed at the floor in contemplation; "An income will do us no good. We'll be detected the moment we go to buy anything, so I say we take it. We're effectively acting on the World Govt's behalf..." He said, looking at Flynn with a smirk and a shrug; "Why wouldn't we be entitled to a share of their supplies?"

He then turned to Tary and her gang as they shared plans; "Tary, if you're going to station anyone at the base, they'll need somewhere to lay low until Cooper and myself have secured us a place. Are we all clear on what we're doing?"

"always did like your style, duke" flynn chuckled as he started untying Tarys boot laces "but if we have to knock over someone, it might be good to locate a nearby enemy encampment. depleting the citys stores for too long could end badly, and wenge is bound to have his people encamped somewhere nearby. if we can disrupt their supply chain we can make sure the city stays in the right hands"

once he had tarys boot laces undone, he began tying them together "also what's our plan if we are found out by enemy operatives? were we granted deadly force for this mission?"

now that he was done messing with tarys boots, flynn began fidgetting again, cracking his knuckles and playing with a necklace hanging around his neck, it was a piece of the firestone that allowed his evolution to his current form, all it's power had been used, it was little more than a trinket now, carved to look like a shield.

"how can you lot stay so calm while we are cooped up in here, i hate flying." flynn grumbled as he grabbed his whiskey from its hiding place and took a swig before once again offering it to the others "i cant be the only one uncomfortable here ... right?"

Kept a keen eye upon what Flynn was doing. She watched him unlace her boots and tie them together. She wanted to undo them but she was just wanting to relax for now until she was needed. She would worry about them later.

She snerks at Flynn, "Does the big bad, rough, tough canine hate being in a tin can flying miles above the region?" she liked to poke fun at him. It was her favorite pass time other than showing her minions a lesson or two.

After her little tease she sat quietly, with her chin resting upon her enclosed fist as it was propped up on the arm of the chair. She studies Flynn, watching him twitch and fidget.

"When are we to start comendeering supplies from the enemy? when we first get there, or over time? I need to know as soon as possible. I can put two of my best minions up to the job. " she asked intending for Duke to answer. Her gaze never left Flynn. He was must to interesting to let out of her sights, at least for the duration of the trip to Mossdeep.

"I would assume so, but do we really need to have that kind of attention on us? They would just send more to Mossdeep and it would be a never ending battle. I believe the best tactic would be to take out their form of communication. What do you think Duke?" she asked him, finally breaking her focus from Flynn.

"Whoa, whoa, we're gettin' ahead of ourselves here..." Duke was now pacing casually back and forth along the cargo/passenger hold as he contemplated strategy; "We don't even know who or what they'll be sending. Could be an army for a drawn-out battle, could be a couple of Captains like us. Could be a General...in which case, we're screwed."

He paused for a moment, folded his arms, and looked up at the other two; "Assuming they do set up camp, it would be our civil duty to 'reappropriate' their resources for the good of our esteemed World Govt." He said with a cheeky smirk; "As soon as we do the drop, Tary, I want some of your group to search the surrounding area for such an enemy encampment. As soon as they locate the enemy, have them funnel some stuff out. If they lose it over a period of time, they'll be less inclined to notice, I reckon."

"What Tary says makes sense, man." Cooper spoke up finally.
Duke scratched his chin, blowing another puff of smoke as he did so; "If they do have a base, and they are set up to call in reinforcements, we'll deal with that as we come to it. Until a rival base is confirmed, we assume they aint got one. Defensive tactics, until you can see what you're up against. Clear?"

"that's MR big bad, rough, tough canine, to you Missy" he said with a smile, but his heart wasnt in it, normally he would be happy to throw banter back and forth, but not when he is on the urge of a breakdow-DID HE SAY DROP!?!

flynn sat bolt up right, every hair on his body on end, and the air in the plane became noticeably warmer. "drop?! what's this about a drop?!" flynn was once again gripping the seat, his eyes showing nothing but panic as he scanned the cargo hold and finally took notice of the parachutes stored towards the back

"no...no no no...nonononono" flynn got to his feet and began to pace nervously "no one said anything about an air drop, i cant jump out of a plane with only a piece of fabric to stop me falling to my death...wait" flynn started checking around the cabin until he came across a med-kit, he began digging through the med kit obviously searching for something.

Tary watch flynn go in his crazy rampage. It was typical for him, being a lover of the ground. She was glad her father beat out that weakness from her long ago. Her feet flopped to the empty seat before her, taking this opportunity, while he was distracted to untie and retie her boots.

"Calm down fluffy, its just a little air flowing through your hair as you decend. It it makes you feel better you can strap in with me and we can double harness, or you can buddy up with a minion of mine. The choice is yours. Id feel more comfortable having you do that, verses the alternative. " she knew exactly what he was looking for, but she didnt dare say it allowed. She didnt want her fellow comrade soaring through the air in such a vulnerable way. It was like a sitting duck.

Propping her feet back up on the seat she leaned back, throwing her hands behind her head, keeping a careful, yet watchful eye upon flynn.

Cooper was now stifling laughter, both at Flynn's freakout, and Tary's teasing. Duke shot a glare at Cooper, as if to say 'be professional!'...but instead a smirk spread across his face and he chuckled a bit too, making Cooper laugh even louder.

"That would be a sight. You guys strapped in together..." Annika seemed unimpressed with all of it, but verbalised what everyone was thinking anyway.

"Down, boy!" Duke chimed in, starting to get serious; "There's nowhere to land the plane. A drop is the only way in, so quit your yappin'!"

"nope, if im going out im at least going with my own shoot, less chance the straps will break under the weight" flynn responded without looking up, he ignored the chuckles of the others, he was more pre-occupied with his search. it took him a couple of minutes but he finally found it

"AH HA!!" the roared as he held the bottle up to the light "medical spirits, im not going to feel any fear for the next week!" flynn stowed the bottle into his jacket and returned to his seat, he looked around at the smiling, chuckling faces and smiled in response "you will all have to sleep eventually" he said, his eyes smiling with mischief.

Tary shurgged her shoulders at Flynn's reaction. It was his typical response. "Fine whatever. Don't say I didn't offer." She looked towards the tiny window, watching the clouds as they passed. She was starting to wonder where exactly they were and if there would be a warning signal for them to get their chutes on.

"Ya know, Flynn, to have fear is to really live, to make sure your heart is still beating in your chest. What is life without a little fear eh?" she asked him when she started to count the different cloud formations.

She moved her feet when Flynn came back to his seat. Breaking her counting concentration she stared at him, "Aye, we may have to sleep, but so do you. But in any case, I really don't see us sleeping much as we may be on high alert as soon as our feet touch Mossdeep. Remember lad, we are in enemy territory." She said leaning forward with a sly grin.

"Tary's overtly flirtatious comment aside..." Annika began, finally finished toying with her rifle; "Sleep really doesn't seem likely in the middle of an enemy fortress."

Duke saw fit to back up his underling, rather than tell her off for speaking out of turn; "Annika's right, on both counts. You won't be sleeping, and you won't be sleeping together."
A quiet 'awww' could be heard from Cooper in the background.

Suddenly, the PA system turned on, and a message came from the cockpit; "We're approaching Mossdeep now. We're only doing one pass, so if you're not out by the time we've left the zone, you'll miss the drop. Everyone better be ready."

Taking the voice's advice, Duke, Annika and Cooper all went to grab a parachute and prepare for the drop.
"Now, I'll ask one more time, is everything under-f**king-stood?" Duke shot a glare at Flynn and Tary, clearly a bit annoyed he had to repeat himself this many times.

"sorry, didnt quiet catch that" flynn mocked as he pulled out the medicinal spirits and his whiskey, he poured a generous helping of the spirits into the bottle to boost the alcohol potency. after adding the spirits, flynn stowed the spirits into his bag, put on a parachute and took a large gulp of the newly fortified whiskey.

"wow...that'll put a fire in your belly" he gasped as the liquid burnt its way down his throat, at which point he turned to tary "and fear is good for getting the blood pumping, but its nothing compared the the thrill of the chase, the hunt, or the fight" flynn took another gulp of whiskey and finally felt stupid enough to dive out of a plane.

with his parachute secured, flynn took a quick look out of the window at the approaching island "time to put the game face on i guess"

Tary glared at annika as she walkex by. She made a mental note to smack her a good one for that comment. As far as she was concerned she wasn't flirting. She was too good for anyone anyways.

As she got up to yell at her minions to load up, she punched flynn in his tricep as she passed.

As she approached her minions she yelled at the to grab their chutes, load up and get ready to jump. "If any of you have an issue with jumping, I will be more than happy to assit you out, with a swift kick in your arse!"

She planned on staying on the plane long enough to make sure all her minions were off.

With a smirk she looked back to Duke, "understood, and who made you that boss, big guy?" She teased

"I did." Duke snapped back while tightening the straps of his parachute; "And if ya got a problem with it, feel free to take it up with management when this is all over."

At that moment, the cargo bay door slowly opened up, revealing a rather thick cloud layer that was keeping the plane out of view. Breaks in the clouds showed glimpses of ocean rocks below as they approached the shore of Mossdeep. It quickly became apparent that any approach from the sea would have been hazardous and foolish, as the last stretch of ocean was littered with shallow spots and rocky protrusions.

Another call came from the PA system; "Everyone Ready? Doesn't matter! Drop will commence in 5....4....3....2....1-GET OUTTA MY PLANE!"

Annika and Cooper nodded to each other, then to their Captain, and took a combined leap out the back. Duke knew the others could handle himself, so he dashed after his underlings. Just before he took the leap, he flicked his cigarette off into open sky, and dived off head-first.
